Telstra is offering free local, national and mobile calls from Telstra payphones in Hobsons Bay this Christmas, with Telstra Executive Director Stuart Bird reminding residents about the importance of getting in touch with their loved ones this Christmas.
“For my family, Christmas is one of the happiest times of year. It’s all about getting together to celebrate the year that’s been and get excited for what’s to come, but unfortunately, for many Australians, it can be a lonely and difficult time,” said Mr Bird.
“While many of us are lucky enough to be surrounded by friends and family or have access to technology that helps bring us together, there are others who find themselves separated from loved ones without a way to get in touch.”
“There are many reasons people might lose contact with friends and family. We encourage anyone who is apart from their loved ones this Christmas to give them a call.”
To help more Australians connect with their loved ones, Telstra is offering free local, national and mobile calls from the Telstra-branded payphones from Christmas Eve until December 28, so everyone can call their friends and family for free.
Free calls are restricted to local calls, national calls to standard fixed lines and calls to standard Australian mobiles on Telstra-branded payphones. National calls to standard fixed line numbers excludes some usage such as calls to premium numbers (eg 19xx numbers), 1234 and 12456 numbers. Satellite numbers are not standard mobiles. Excludes Telstra rented payphones.
