Yum charged: Williamstown restaurant rammed by runaway car

A popular Chinese restaurant in Williamstown, Yum Cha House, has been significantly damaged after a car collided into the front of its Ferguson Street shop front at about 2.30pm on Wednesday afternoon.

Victoria Police members from Williamstown Police Station and West Gate Highway Patrol attended the scene, blocking off part of Ferguson Street while Metropolitan Fire Brigade cleared the scene.

Ambulance Victoria paramedics attended to the 82-year-old male driver and 26-year-old male inside the shop who were both transported to hospital. A building surveyor from Hobsons Bay City Council also attended the scene to inspect structural damage.
