Police looking to bust burglars after Williamstown rob-bra-ry

Williamstown boutique store Specialty Fittings Lingerie on Douglas Parade was robbed by brazen bra burglars overnight.

Police are looking to make a bust after boutique store Specialty Fittings Lingerie on Douglas Parade in Williamstown was robbed overnight, with the brazen bra burglars making a forced entry through the front door.

“At some time between approximately 9pm last night (7th August) and 7am (8th August) this morning, unknown persons forced entry to the Specialty Fittings Lingerie Store located in Douglas Parade, Williamstown and stole lingerie items,” a Police spokesperson said.

Store Owner Suzanne arrived at work in the morning to discover her shop had been broken into, shocked and sickened to find empty racks with expensive stock missing and stock spread across the floor.

“It makes you feel sick. You work so hard. It is not just the stock that is gone. We have to close until we get our door fixed and do a stocktake. It is time we would much rather spend serving our paying customers,” she said.

Crime Scene Officers as well as Detectives from Hobsons Bay Crime Investigation Unit attended the scene this morning. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report on the Crime Stoppers website.
