Christmas messages from local leaders to the people of Hobsons Bay

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews on Christmas Day

Santa dropped off an extra delivery for the people of Williamstown and Hobsons Bay, with well wishes from local leaders and messages about love, friendship, kindness, happiness, illness and loneliness on Christmas Day 2018.

State Member for Williamstown The Honourable Melissa Horne MP:

“Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Take time to celebrate family and friends and please take time to reach out to those who may not be celebrating the end of the year with their loved ones.”

State Member for Altona The Honourable Jill Hennessy MP:

“For many Victorians, Christmas is a time of joy and relaxation. For those workers keeping our hospitals and essential services running, it can be a stressful time. I encourage Victorians to be patient and courteous to workers during this busy period.”

“Every worker deserves a safe workplace. Twenty-three people have died at work this year, which means 23 families are facing a heart-breaking Christmas as they continue to mourn the death of a loved one at work. Please take care over the holiday season.”

Well wishes and messages from local leaders to the people of Hobsons Bay on Christmas Day 2018.

Hobsons Bay Councillor Tony Briffa:

“Merry Christmas! I hope you and your loved ones have a very special Christmas surrounded by love, friendship and happiness. I know this is a difficult time for many people, so please think about people that are unwell, on their own, or otherwise having a hard time.”

“Offer them some kindness especially at this special time of year. Even a little gesture goes a long way. Whatever you and your loved ones are doing this Christmas, I hope you have a lovely time.”

Hobsons Bay Councillor Colleen Gates:

“Merry Christmas to all who read this and thank you for your support, input and motivation for our community across 2018. Signing off until the New Year so wishing everyone a fabulous Christmas and a happy new year.”
