VanderAa floats with fans on Williamstown waters

Local ocean conservationists Sea Shepherd welcomed VanderAa on board the heli deck of their ‘My Steve Irwin’ ship last night for an incredible sunset performance on Williamstown waters.

The two brothers, Aaron and Levi, treated an intimate crowd to their unusual and unique sound, which blends a mix of drum, djembe, beatboxing, yidaki (didgeridoo) with guitar and vocals.

Among the highlights of the exclusive floating gig, was when Aaron showed off his multitasking abilities to an impressed audience, who witnessed the playing of a didjeribone whilst beat boxing at the same time.

From busking the streets to headline international shows and festivals, VanderAa have done it all from the back of their van, with performances at Burning Man, Splendour in the Grass, Falls Festival, Bass in the Grass and their most recent world tour.

The name VanderAa is Aaron and Levi’s last name and it means Of The River Aa, a river that runs through Holland, which they recently visited on their European tour.

As strong advocates for doing good, VanderAa were also in good company with the Sea Shepherd crew last night, combining their goodness in the ultimate good deed for some very lucky fans in Williamstown.
